Great uncle had acute leukemia and now his daughter has it at 50 years old. is this likely hereditary or can it be spontaneous?

Probably not : Did your great uncle had leukemia at an advanced age? Is it cll? Cll is a very common type of leukemia in old people, and no hereditary trend. On the other hand his daughter at 50 probably developed aml. If my guesses are correct, i don't see any hint of heredity. However, if the great uncle had aml, or all, and if other members of the family had cancer (breast, brain, colon etc.) then it could be.
