INH: One main thing is that inh can lead to liver problems and you should be monitored regularly with lab tests. Inh can also cause a rash. Many on inh will complain about some GI distress like nausea and/or vomiting. In rare cases, inh can cause depression. It is important to stay on the inh long enough to completely get rid of the tb, and that is generally for one year. Talk with your dr. Good luck.

Liver toxicity: At age 22 liver toxicity is relatively uncommon. It occurs more frequently in the elderly, those who drink alcohol or take other hepatotoxic meds. Hepatotoxicity presents as nausia, right upper abdominal pain, dark urine, yellow eyes. Neuropathy is prevented by taking pyridoxime or vit.B6 while taking inh. Nausia and skin rashes among other side effects and allergic reactions can occur.
