Uninformed: Since hpv vaccine is a fairly new vaccine (less than a decade), some docs may not be as up-to-date as others. As a pediatrician, we pride ourselves in being very current on vaccines and have them readily available in our offices. However, some adult doctor offices do not have the same "push" or inventory of vaccines. You can always contact your local health department to obtain the vaccine.
