CRP Meaning: CRP is very high, but it is a nonspecific indicator of inflammation. It sounds like you are doing the right thing in getting him to a doctor, but he should be rechecked until a source of the fever is found. If his exam is negative, he may need a urine test & chest xray. Has he had all of his immunizations? If not, it could be more serious. Bring him back to the doctor for follow-up.
