A doctor has provided 1 answer

A Lot of Things: Irregular cycles can be due to changes in your estrogen, progesterone, thyroid and even prolactin levels. Common is changes in estrogen and progesterone. Excess weight or extreme thinness can change our period as well as the amount of fat in our body can affect our hormone levels. If you are concerned you should see your doctor. If you aren't at a healthy weight, you may want to try that first.
