Risk of pregnancy: Yes, there is an increase risk of pregnancy as soon as Mirena (levonorgestrel) falls out..Do a pregnancy test/ see your doctor as soon as possible. It is advisable to use a backup birth control method(condoms), till you see your doctor. Report any unusual vaginal bleeding/ abdominal pain immediately.Check after each period to make sure Mirena (levonorgestrel) threads still protrude from the cervix.(never pull on them).Take care.
