Depo and menses: The Depo-Provera shot makes the lining thin and is a hormone injection that lasts up to 3 months. In some patients, it may last a bit longer so it appears she may be one of them. It may take a while until her body adjusts back to normal and her cycles come every month. I would tell her to monitor the bleeding and see her doctor if it doesn't come and she is not pregnant.
