A member asked:

I have had sex everyday during fertile period upto my day of ovulation. on this day i also had an mri scan. would this kill the sperm?

No: An MRI does not use x-rays and will not affect sperm. Sex every other day may be better than daily as it allows sperm counts to increase.

Doubtful : Unlike x-rays and ct scans, mris do not involve radiation. While radiation can kill sperm, even the amount you would get exposed to in an an x-ray or ct may be too little.

No: Mri probably couldn't kill the sperms. If you were pregnant MRI however can be harmful to the fetus, particularly if you had contrast.
