Depends: If chills means feeling cold, perhaps thyroid could not be fully functioning. But if chills means shaking, there could be a serious problem. Chills are unrelated to chronic fatigue syndrome, but if shaking - a search for a hidden infection (e.g., endocarditis) is worthwhile.
