Dr. Lauren Elson answered

Specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

See physiatrist: A physiatrist, doctor of physical medicine and rehabilitation, can determine what is causing your paresthesia- and help come up with solutions that make it less noticeable. In and of themselves, they are not dangerous. Knowing the reason why it is there can make it easier to deal with.
