A member asked:

For what length of time do the harsh side effects of celexa (citalopram) persist?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Weeks: The nausea and diarrhea often seen generally fade away in about 2 weeks. Overall when Celexa is compared with prozac, paxil, (paroxetine) and zoloft the winner is celexa. Fewer specific side effects, less interaction with other medications.
