Depends on size: Cerebellar hemorrhages can be life threatening if they are large and/or are causing compression of the brainstem. Large hemorrhages often require surgery to remove the blood clot. If the hemorrhage is small, it can usually be observed and will resolve over time. The underlying cause of the hemorrhage (avm, aneurysm, tumor or long standing hypertension) should be investigated.
