Red eye contagion: This depends upon the cause. If it is a hemorrhage (bright red, little effect on the vision, almost no discomfort) then there is not problem. If it is a viral conjunctivitis (diffuse redness, irritation, discharge, swelling of the eye lining) then it is contagious and your fellow workers will be very angry if they get it. Your ophthalmologist can sort out the cause and give treatment.
