Yes/no: Central cord syndrome is basically a force injury to the spinal cord. Usually when someone has this injury it was the result of a fall. This can happen if someone has a normal spinal canal but more oftern it happens because there is stenosis at baseline. This should be corrected to stop further injury. The timing of the surgery depends on the surgeon. The symptoms improve at a variable rate.
