Yes: Ear symptoms are frequently reported with tmj. There is even a ligament called the discomaliolarligament that connects the disc to the hammer of the ear. If a disc is displaced it may create ear symptoms like tinnitus, vertigo, or stuffiness of the ear which disappears with many TMJ patients who have the jaw repositioned into a correct joint position.

Not usually: Usually caused by upper respiratory and / or ear infections. Patient with deep overbite and worn down dentition may develop tmd syndrome ( jaw popping, pain at jaw joint). Please have an occlusal exam and evaluate by your dentist.

Not likely: It would be difficult to explain how your TMJ could cause an inflammation or aggravation of your inner ear. The only things they have in common is that your ear problem could be stress related as could your TMJ and that some medications, such as aspirin, are known to possible causes of labrynthitis.
