Yes, but don't panic: The general guidelines for normal menstrual bleeding are a cycle length of 21 to 42 days, counting from the first day of one cycle to the first day of the next cycle, with the period itself lasting no more than seven days. Abnormal bleeding can occur when there is a problem with ovulation, but can also be a sign of uterine polyps or fibroids, or precancerous growths. See your gynecologist.
