You should be: Depo-provera shouldn't have any long term infertility effects, however after stopping depo-provera, or any birth control, there may significant lag time before your menstrual cycle returns to normal. Consider a conversation with your ob/gyn or primary care physician if you experience continued irregular cycles.

Sure: Women conceive all the time after having been on birth control for years. It may take 3-6 months for your natural cycle to get back in synch, but i would not count on that alone as a form of birth control. So if you are ready to have a child emotionally, financially, etc, feel free to start letting your natural hormones to take over again.
