See orthopedic dr.: Hip pain has many etiologies, infection, trauma, tumor, ischemia, etc.Femoroacetabular impingement (hip impingement) due to abnormal shape of the ball and socket, dysplasia, dislocation, arthritis etc. , if caught early, many hip problems may be corrected, should consult orthopedic physician for physical exam and possibly appropriate imaging x-rays, mdi for diagnosis and therapy.
