Depends: In order to conceive your partner must be ovulating around (usually within 72 hours of intercourse). Be patient it may take 6 - 12 months before she gets pregnant. Together you can try to determine when she is ovulating (over the counter tests or body temperature variations) and try to coordinate intercourse with her ovulation. If no luck after a year, see your doctor for an infertility workup.

Basic evaluation: After 12 months of trying an extensive work up is warranted. 3 tests needed: 1. Semen analysis 2. Ovulation blood test via a day 21 Progesterone 3. Hsg xray to make sure tubes are open. Any obgyn or fertility specialist can do this.
