Ulcerative colitis ?: Eosinophils are a type of white blood cell. Normally blood doesn't have a large number of eosinophils. Eosinophils can increase in response to allergic disorders, inflammation of the skin, and parasitic infections. They can also increase in some bone marrow disorders.Numbers of eosinophils are higher in patients with active and inactive ulcerative colitis.
