A member asked:

Whats the difference between cryselle, ogestrel, lo ogestrel, ovral (ethinyl estradiol and norgestrel) and lo ovral (ethinyl estradiol and norgestrel). do they react the same as cryselle?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ovral (ethinyl estradiol and norgestrel) had 50 mcg: Estrogen, lo-ovral has 35 mcg estrogen, i never use either of those pills anymore, they both have way too much estrogen in them, I have almost all of my pts either on 25, 20 or 10 mcg estrogen combo pills and I use the 24 day ones not the 21 day ones. Please discuss with your obgyn, generess has 25 mcg, loestrin has 20 mcg and loloestrin has 10 mcg estrogen, the lower the dose the safer.
