Fiber and hydration: Sorry, but you sound constipated. Hydration is important as is fiber in your diet. Many require a fiber supplement (see metamucil) which also requires excellent hydration to work. You may need more of a stool softener (eg: colace) or even a stool stimulant (eg: milk of magnesia). Anything more aggressive (other medications or enemas) should be discussed with your doctor.

Fleets enema: May be helpful. Can also use otc magnesium citrate. Drink lots of water, get lots of exercise. See your doctor.

Constipation stinks: Start with a high fiber diet. If that doesn't work, try colace, MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) or fiber supplements, all of which are over the counter. If that still doesnt work, try an enema. In the meantime, set up an appt with your doctor to rule out scary things.
