No: This is the 21st century and you owe it to yourself to use remedies that actually work. Your physician can manage acne using compounds that are gifts from mother nature -- benzoyl peroxide, the retinoic acid derivatives, isotretinoin, and the wonderful antibiotics made by natural micro-organisms. Good skin care: Retinoids (derivatives vitamin a) may be some of the most effective medications and available as retinols (over the counter) or as a prescription in the form of retin a (tretinoin) or accutane. A good skin care regimen (soap/moisturizer/acid) are best and the acne may not always be preventable or treatable due to natural hormone alterations. Discuss with your gynecologist and dermatologist.
