Bypass: This is complicated as both physical and psychological healing needs to happen. One can be out of hospital in days. Physical healing inside and outside including sap heinous vein graft sites can be six weeks or more. Psychological healing varies by person and their psyche. Depend: Your rehabilitation program after discharge from hospital will last 3 to 4 weeks. There, education and follow up on how to take care of yourself will happen. Wound care, diet, medications, driving, activities, exercises, sex, etc. Family support extremely important. Short term memory and cognitive difficulties can happen earlier. May be even depression. Every person heal different.
