Seek a clinic: Call around different offices and ask if you could pay something like 25 dollars for a visit and explain you don't have health insurance. Some uti's will go away on their own, but some will go on to a worse infection involving the kidneys. Cranberry juice can help, but it is not a cure. Antibiotics are the treatment. Uti symptoms can also represent other gynecological problems.

Cause not addressed: Several possibilities: 1. Diabetes (though other symptoms would be present) 2. Environmental irritant (soap is too alkali or irritating) 3. Anatomical issues (using retention of urine) or 4. Physiologic problem (overactive bladder). Regardless, some situations demand a doctor's expertise (serious infection) others require prevention on your part (complete voiding, reduce risk of an std).

Try drugstore clinic: You need a short course of antibiotics to clear up a uti. Visit for a simple urine test & prescription for an inexpensive antibiotic like Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) or Macrodantin will hopefully be affordable. Cranberry juice helps to to prevent utis by impairing adherence of bacteria to bladder wall, but does not cure a uti. Water will help to make you urinate more frequently which helps, but does not cure.

UTI usually requires: antibiotics. See Dr. Hydrate wi water & other fluids to flush infection. Acidify urine wi Vit C to kill bacteria - VIT C – oranges, grapefruit & kiwi. Unsweetened cranberry juice can decrease bacteria adhering to urinary tract. Beneficial supplements: cranberry or garlic extracts, bearberry leaf & D-Mannose. Probiotics can help.
