Dermatologist: Candida is a yeast infection of the skin or mucous membranes and has a very distinctive presentation. In addition, parasites and/or mites will have a distinctive presentation and pattern on the skin. Almost any dermatologist can look at the skin and tell the difference. However, when in doubt, the dermatologist will do a biopsy of the skin and that would definitively diagnose it.
