Enlarged spleen: Splenomegaly (enlarged spleen) can be due to various conditions. In a young person, it can enlarge due to a blood disorder causing the spleen to 'hold on' to too many blood products, causing it to swell. Sometimes certain tumors can be associated with enlarged spleens. Liver diseases can also cause problems in the spleen. See your doctor for an exam.
