Usually None: Ideally, a person should find out they have diabetes long before they develop any symptoms at all. By the time someone's blood sugar goes over 200, and they develop intense thirst, frequent urination, weight loss despite eating more than usual, frequent infections, and blurred vision, they may have had diabetes for YEARS, and have serious damage to blood vessels, kidneys, eyes, and nerves.
