A member asked:

Need advice on what is the the difference of an mri can a cat scan?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Big difference: Ct scans use radiation to make the images. Mri uses no radiation but instead uses magnetic fields to create images. Both use computers to reconstruct the information acquired so that it can be useful.
