Organ failure: Spread of cancer from its original site to other sites is considered incurable and depending on the age at diagnosis, will most liekly take one's life. When a cancer spreads to a vital organ like the liver, lungs, or brain either the growth of the tumor taking over normal liver, lung, or brain function will contribute to death or the need to continue to take chemotherapy will effect organ function.
