A member asked:

What possible causes of leathery skin in 3 year old are there?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eczema : A common cause of thickened (lichenified) skin is atopic dermatitis or eczema . Itchy skin on the face, neck, arms , and legs for example leads to repeated rubbing and scratching. See a dermatologist for evaluation and treatment , since other conditions should be ruled out.
