Be seen: Poisonous spider bites generally cause a painful ulcerated area within hours of the bite. If he suspects a black widow or brown recluse spider bite, he should be seen.

Black Widow: Bite can cause pain that spreads to chest, abdomen or back which may be associated with abdominal cramping. There may be intense sweating near the wound or involving an effected extremity.
