Check with doctor: Just as you can have strep throat, it can also cause a perirectal infection. In that situation, an oral antibiotic may be needed. Because the area around the rectum stays warm and moist and is often irritated, rashes can be due to a variety of causes. If he gets it often, i would check with his doctor for further advice.
