A member asked:

What's the definition of stem cell therapy and how does it work?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Stem cells: Stem cells are 'mult potential'cells meaning that they can evolve into many different types of cells. Research is being done to determine if introducing stem cells into abnormal or damaged organs, could replace the damaged or abnormal cells of that organ or slow the progression of diseases affecting the cells.
