It might: Stem cells are a source of regenerating the tissues. Blood stem cells are cancerous in leukemia. So this problem is being handled with marrow stem cells where the leukemia stem cells are killed first, then a new bone marrow or stem cell transplant is given from where a normal bone marrow is reconstituted. This is often a curative treatment for advanced blood cancers like leukemia.
