A member asked:

Help please! is cancer something someone inherit as the black spot in dna?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not so Gothic...: A few mutated genes can be passed parent-to-child making a person more vulnerable to additional mutations eventuating in cancer. This is no "black spot", just an altered base pair sequence. For most cancers, every mutation was probably acquired in the person rather from the sperm / egg.
