See doctor : Boils can be caused by a number of different bacterial infections including some resistant bacteria such as mrsa. See your doctor to have it incised and drained and cultured. Oral and topical antibiotics may be prescribed to treat it. Lukewarm compresses help it drain once it has been excised. Wash clothes and towels that may be contaminated right away to prevent spread.
