Yes: Prescription coverage through medicare is a supplemental plan (part d)- you need to pay extra for it and there is a specific lists of meds they will approve. Medicaide includes a prescription plan and most clients are assigend to a managed care program to help with cost containment. There is also a certain "formulary"- not all drugs are covered. A prior authorization may be needed by your doctor.
