I have asthmatic bronchitis and i feel it's worse and i am having trouble breathing with severe chest pain! could it turn into being pneumonia?

Yes: Many physicians avoid using the word "asthma" when asthma is the correct diagnosis. Evaluations should include a pulmonary function test. If your pcp does not do this, see an allergist or pulmonologist. Pneumonia should be considered when fever, shortness of breath and chest pains occur, see an urgent care physician to consider a chest x-ray.
