2weeks is too soon : A knee replacement is a giant operation. Therefore they hurt and require time and exercise to function well. Recovery is at least a 3 month process and some take one year. I use 90 degrees at 30 days as a baseline but every surgeon will have own criteria. Keep working hard and do what your doc says. Don't miss any pt or follow up appointments. Call your surgeon for more detailed answer.

Not the anesthesia: The type of anesthetic you had (general vs. Regional) would not be affecting your knee functional recovery at this point.

Talk to your surgeon: The recovery period from a total knee can depend on the patient. You need to concentrate on bending the knee as per instructions, it will not be pleasant at first. The knee manipulation under general anesthesia is done only if you have failed the initial option of working your knee. Talk to your surgeon about your options, but exercise your knee.
