If i am diabetic while pregnant, does that mean the baby is diabetic?

No: Not really. In fact, babies born to diabetic mothers have a risk of having too low blood sugars immediately after birth. If you are a diabetic while pregnant then your chances of developing diabetes later in life is 50%. Eat a diet rich in vegetables, complex carbs, lean protein, and unprocessed foods. Weight watchers is a great program to follow for life. In addition, you must exercise.
