A member asked:

I was prescribed minocycline capsules for my acne. can i break the capsule & apply it topically by mixing it with my clindamycin cream?

No: Tetracyclines reach the deeper structures via the bloodstream; it's part why they're best as a systemic medication. They also control new infections before they form. There's a bunch of studies that pretty much showed topical tetracycline isn't very effective, not nearly as good as the clindamycin.
