Well tolerated: I wouldn't worry much about the dose level.This medication has one of the safest profiles of any of the over the counter medications. The suggested dose for 2-5 is 5mg and a dissolving tablet is available in some local.Adult studies found no increased benefit or side effects with a double dose of 20 mg. So having a smallish 6 yo take the 10 would be fine.
