Many differences: Crack psychosis involves paranoia and hearing voices and footsteps that are not there.It is part of an addictive illness caused by crack. Schizophrenia is more complex illness involving hallucinations, complex delusions, personality disintegration, psychosocial withdrawal, lack of motivation, blunting of affect and decreased volition. Marked disorganization and disability can occur.
