A member asked:

My middle fingers go numb when sitting with lower back lumbar support or when pressure is applied to the lower back - what causes the numbness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Numbness: I don't have a good explanation. Perhaps the seat allows you to position your hand or arm in certain way that causes you to experience symptoms in your middle fingers without any direct relation with your lumbar area. Did you mean middle finger or toe? If synchronous symmetrical middle fingers numbness i would suspect a C7 cervical spinal cord myeloraduculopathy. Consider MRI cervical area.
