Never a good mix: Acyclovir can cause dizziness. Alcohol frequently increases central nervous system adverse effects of other drugs. Alcohol can also interfere with how drugs are metabolized. The level of drug in the blood may increase which leads to more frequent side effects. This is especially a concern with driving or working on dangerous machinery. Another concern is missing doses of acyclovir. Best not!
