Further work up: If this pain comes with exertion such as walking or climbing stairs then you should think of it as angina or pain coming from blockage of the arteries of the heart.You would need some form of stress test to see if it is coming from the heart.Also if you have Nitroglycerin tablets then next time you get chest pain, try taking ntg under the tongue.
