Contact dermatitis: It is not uncommon to develop an allergy to chemicals used in skin care products. Your allergist or dermatologist can test you to the most common culprits, and give you a list of chemicals to which you're allergic. You can then take this list with you when shopping, to make sure that the products you buy do not contain these chemicals, so you won't have this problem and have to throw them out.
