Nocebo/Placebo: Many are the ways that what we expect can create physical changes in us. This is a big part of our every day life as well as the fancy stuff of hypnosis. There are also changes caused by other actual events, but our minds play a big role in everything we do. You certainly will not have a baby from paranoia, but you may miss periods and become bloated and tender. Have a test - see a doctor.

HPT: Dear ibex, if you are concerned about being pregnant, the best thing you can do is to reassure yourself one way or another with a home pregnancy test. This can be done as soon as you have actually missed your period. If you are having issues related to paranoia it may be beneficial to seek the assistance of a therapist (unless you are just referring to feeling paranoid about getting pregnant).
