A member asked:

Does 35% hydrogen peroxide cure genital herpes?

No: Hydrogen peroxide can cause tissue damage and may make the lesions go away but there is no "cure" for herpes. You always keep a small amount of any virus you are exposed to. Just because the lesions are not there does not mean the person does not have hsv.

No: Herpes is a virus. Hydrogen peroxide is not an agent that can successfully kill that virus. See a provider for help. We have many good medications now to treat herpes. You do not have to suffer!
